Here are the books, videos and articles that will give you a better understanding of what Meaningful Marketing is about.
I’ll be adding more content to this page. But for now, here’s enough to get you started!
The Next Evolution of Marketing – Bob Gilbreath
This book is where I draw inspiration from. In it Bob showcases numerous examples of big brands who are creating more meaning through their marketing.
Not only does this showcase a lot of a examples but Bob walks you through how to create more meaning. He draws of his experience working as a the Chief Strategist of Bridge Worldwide who worked with Proctor & Gamble.
The Thank You Economy – Gary Vaynerchuk
Gary has become one of the most influential marketers in new media. He worked in his father’s wine store in New Jersey and created the most successsful video wine blog on the internet, WineLibrary.TV. Now he has turned his passion for business and new media into an agency, Vayner Media.
The Thank You Economy Gary goes beyond any social media platform. It’s the way we communicate, the way we buy and sell, the way businesses and consumers interact online and offline.
The End Of Business As Usual – Brian Solis
I’ve only been following Brian and his blog since the beginning of 2012. In that time I have been impressed with his thoughts and ideas of where things are headed is this technologically advanced world.
The End of Business As Usual is about the future and how business can avoid Digital Darwinism. It talks about the connected customer and how your business can fulfill their high standards.
Trust Agents – Chris Brogan
Building influence, improving reputation and earning trust are essential for any business. Chris and Julien tell us to focus on those areas and we’ll survive in the long term compared to those who are continuously pushing their products at people online.
The great thing about this book is it sets out lots of actionable steps. No matter what you’re business is, this book is a must read for those online.
Un-Marketing – Scott Stratten
The basic premise behind this book is for businesses to start acting human. What we have been taught in the past about marketing is no longer working. Just think of the last time you bought something thanks to a cold call, flyers and advertisement?
The book covers a lot of the same ideas and topics as the ones previously listed. However there are more examples for small businesses as opposed to big brands.
Gary Vaynerchuk – 2011 SXSW Keynote
*****Be warned as Gary does swear a bit in this video. It’s unfortunate but his passion is undeniable.****
Simon Sinek – 2009 TEDX
Although these articles feature big brands, they are meant to inspire your businesses marketing. You surely won’t have their budget by creativity comes from other ideas.
